ABOUT CHR

Community Housing Resource, Inc. was formed in 1996 as a private company whose mission is to provide affordable housing opportunities for year-round residents of the Outer Cape.  We develop and manage rental housing in Provincetown, Truro, and Wellfleet.

 

We work in partnership with  many public and private entities to provide and maintain quality homes.  Our financial partners include the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities, The Life Initiative, MA Affordable Housing Trust Fund, MA Housing Partnership, MA Housing Investment Corporation, Barnstable County HOME Consortium, Stratford Capital Group, and local lending institutions.

 

Upon completion of Gull Pond Road in Wellfleet and Provincetown Heights in Provincetown, CHR has created 160 year-round homes, 61 art studio workspaces, and 10 commercial spaces.  CHR is in the process of developing two additional neighborhoods -- Cloverleaf in Truro and Paine Hollow Road in Wellfleet.  Upon completion of these developments, CHR will have created over 200 homes, of which more than 77.5% are affordable.  Click here for a complete breakdown of CHR Development/Affordability Statistics.
